Indian artist recovering from incident

An Indian artist in New Mexico is still recovering from a June 7 dragging incident that has left him unable to walk without help, The Santa Fe New Mexican reports.

Presley LaFountain, a sculptor who attended the Institute of American Indian Arts, was in court on Monday for the arraignment hearing of his accused attacker. Andrew D. Lopez, 39, pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated battery, tampering with evidence and conspiracy.
