Apache Tribe fights for bingo hall

FRIDAY, JULY 26, 2002 The Apache Tribe of Oklahoma was in court on Thursday to try and reopen its disputed bingo hall. The hall is located on non-trust land. Oklahoma City authorities raided the facility and arrested gamblers, charging them with felonies. The closure is preventing the tribe from needed funds, attorneys told a federal judge. Get the Story:
