Fire management systems at the Bureau of Indian Affairs remain disconnected from the Internet seven months after a federal judge ordered the Department of Interior to fix its security problems.

BIA officials and fire fighters say the shutdown has hampered their ability to do their job. A dispatch agency in Arizona is down to one computer, The Arizona Republic reports.
