Crews continue to fight Mesa Verde fire

FRIDAY, AUGUST 2, 2002 A fire in Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado continues to grow. The Long Mesa fire has charred more than 3,000 acres. Crews have been able to keep the blaze away from the park's Puebloan structures and artifacts. Still, the fire was about 5 percent contained. It was started by lightning on Monday. Get the Story:
