Mesa Verde set to reopen after fire

MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 2002 A fire at Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado was 80 percent contained as of Sunday. The 2,600-acre blaze has threatened some of the park's historic Puebloan structures. But they mostly escaped any harm. Parts of the park are set to reopen later this week. Get the Story:
