FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 2002

Two Oneida Nation women who accused a tribal official of assault failed to show up and testify at a hearing on Thursday.

Clint Hill, a member of the Men's Council, was subsequently acquitted. He plans to challenge similar charges against him in a New York county court.

Maisie Shenandoah and Diane Shenandoah claim Hill assaulted and harassed them.
