Tribal judge suspended after DUI arrest

A Tohono O'odham Nation judge has been suspended after an arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol in a tribal vehicle.

According to The Arizona Daily Star, Malcolm Escalante's blood alcohol level was 0.15 percent. The Arizona state limit is 0.08 percent.

Escalante is suspended from judicial duties pending an investigation. His six-year term is due to expire February 2003.
