A federal judge plans to rule today on the rightful North Carolina representative to the Miss America pageant.

"I will try to make a decision," U.S. District Judge James Fox told attorneys in the case, as reported by The Raleigh News-Observer. "It is going to be made in haste."

Rebekah Revels, a member of the Lumbee Tribe, was the state pageant winner. But after she resigned -- under pressure, she says -- the title went to Misty Clymer.

A state judge returned the crown to Revels. The Miss America pageant, however, agreed to let Clymer participate.

Revels has been allowed to take part in all activities pending the resolution of the case.
