Editorial: Hope for Oglala casino

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2002 The Sioux Falls Argus Leader in an editorial today says the Oglala Lakota Tribe of South Dakota "deserves praise" for trying to improve its reservation economy. But the paper says ensuring the success of an $18 million expansion of the tribe's casino "might not be easy" because it is located "off the beaten path." "Are there enough residents in the general area to make this work?" the paper asks. "Can the tribe attract tourists to make this work?" Get the Story:
