Narragansett Tribe gives thanks

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2002 For more than 300 years, the Narragansett Tribe has met every August to give thanks to corn. The Green Corn Thanksgiving is one of 13 celebrations the tribe holds annually. Based on the lunar cycle, the Narragansett calendar is 13 months. The Thanksgiving attracts outsiders as well.
