"A judge's decision to hold the interior secretary of the United States in contempt of court is a serious matter. But U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth did just that last week in ruling that Interior Secretary Gale Norton was not being forthright about her agency's attempt to sort out what had happened to billions of dollars that rightly belong to Indian tribes.

She is the third Cabinet secretary to be held in contempt in connection with this shameful chapter of American history. . ."
