Attorneys for the Republican Party asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to intervene in New Jersey's senate race.

The GOPs want the nine Justices to reverse a state court ruling which said the ballots can be changed to include a new Democratic candidate. Frank R. Lautenberg replaced Sen. Robert G. Torricelli, who dropped out on Monday amid questions over his ethical behavior.

The GOP candidate is Doug Forrester.
