Tribal member sue over casino expansion

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2002 Four members of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation are suing to halt a proposed $710 million expansion of the tribe's casino. The tribal members claim the plan was not approved properly. A special council meeting was held on October 1, 2001, to consider the issue. The suit was filed in tribal court. Get the Story:
