Wyo. tribal primary election postponed

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2002 A primary election for the Northern Arapaho tribal council has been postponed. According to the Associated Press, a dispute emerged over a candidate whose name was removed from the ballot because he resigned from the council for alleged negligence four years ago. However, Harvey Spoonhunter was not officially removed from office, so there is debate over whether a tribal law forbidding a new run within six years is applicable.
