Could a new golf course help Haskell Indian Nations University of Kansas overcome a tight budget? Developer J.B. Cisneros hopes so.

Cisneros, a Haskell alumnus, wants to build a 65-acre nine-hole public course on school property. He said the project will cost $3 million, money he intends to raise.

Cisneros is founder of the Native American Junior Golf Association.
