Native volunteers to work with kids

Two Alaska Native organizations have started a program to ensure children in the foster care system are taken care of.

The Copper River Native Association and the Association of Village Council Presidents will recruit volunteers to serve as court-appointed special advocates. The CASAs will serve as advocates for foster kids in the state and tribal court systems.
