Report: Fla. casino makes $5.1M a month

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2002 A casino owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida takes in $5.1 million a month, according to The Miami Herald. The paper cites court documents filed in a lawsuit involving the Coconut Creek Casino. The tribal council has withheld rent payments pending review of an agreement approved by ousted chief Jim Billie. A gaming company that is a partner to the casino has sued the tribe for the payments.
