Indian women's center will stay open

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2002 A drug and alcohol abuse center on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota will stay open thanks to a $63,000 grant. Running Strong for American Indian Youth provided the funds to Flowering Tree, a residential program for pregnant women and mothers with alcohol or drug addictions. The center had lost a major source of grant funding last month, The Rapid City Journal reported. Get the Story:
