From judicial appointments to homeland security to the war on Iraq, Republicans in Congress are promising big changes now that they are back in control of the House and Senate.

All of the chairmanships in the Senate have not been settled but for Indian Country, Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.) will probably run the Senate Indian Affairs Committee again. The Senate Energy and Natural Resources is up for grabs with Sen. Frank Murkowski's win as governor of Alaska.

Drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge could re-emerge under GOP control. Democrats in the Senate had refused to allow development.
