Wyandotte casino agreement approved

An agreement to settle the Wyandotte Nation land claim in exchange for a casino has been approved by a Kansas County.

The Wyandotte County Unified Government commissioners unanimously approved a deal to support gaming on 52 acres for the Oklahoma tribe. The tribe has claimed 2,000 acres of land in northeastern Kansas City.

The Kansas City government is working on an agreement as well.
