The Alaska Native village of Alakanuk has seen a high rate of alcohol-related incidents in recent months.

Of 29 area villages, about 20 percent of the police calls come from Alakanuk, The Anchorage Daily News reported. Alakanuk is supposed to be a dry community but authorities last week arrested a man for possession of an alcohol home brew.
