A coalition of Alaska Natives, artists and environmental groups completed a cross-country journey to oppose development in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge on Thursday.

Gwich'in Nation tribal members and other activists started at opposite ends of the country. They ended up in Washington, D.C., and said Republican control of Congress can't overcome opposition to oil and gas drilling.
