The Classroom Without Walls Distance Learning Program is helping rural and Indian populations address their health needs.

For participants in New Mexico, that means combating diabetes and improving nutrition. The students, typically married women with children, take courses online through the Santa Fe Community College.

The program was started with a grant from the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Labor.
