Cahuilla chairwoman to step down

Mary Belardo is leaving her post as chairwoman of California's Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Tribe.

Belardo has led her tribe for 10 years. She was instrumental in securing a $14.2 million cash and land settlement that paves the way for a casino.

Belardo plans to stay on as tribal administrator.
