Navajo leader's home raided by police

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2002 A Navajo Nation council delegate who says he was unfairly targeted by his tribe's top politicians had his home raided by tribal police in a pre-dawn raid on Monday, The Farmington Daily-Times reported. J.C. Begay was arrested by Navajo Nation police for potential extradition to the state of New Mexico to face state cattle rustling charges. The state never brought a case against him. Now, Navajo police searched his home for unknown reasons, the paper reported. Get the Story:
