Pojoaque Pueblo in New Mexico was in court on Tuesday to oppose the state's attempts to limit its water usage.

The state believes the tribe is taking more than its fair share of water. The state cites an 18-hole golf course under construction and a resort hotel in the works.

The tribe, backed by the Department of Justice, asked a federal magistrate to wait until water rights in northern New Mexico are fully quantified before acting to limit its usage.
