Indian children were among the most undercounted in Montana on the 2000 Census, the Associated Press reports.

Indian children are 2.5 percent of the population but were 6.6 percent of the total undercount. Of the state's uncounted population under 10, 27 percent were Indian.

The Census Bureau released the adjusted numbers under a court order.
