A study of minority health in Kansas revealed high rates of high blood pressure and death from heart disease.

The Kansas Health Institute and the state Department of Health and Environment released the report "Minority Health Disparities in Kansas." It showed that 35 percent of Native Americans have high blood pressure and die from coronary heart disease at a higher rate the rest of the population.

"Indian health services -- its current health status, the way it is -- is just another form of genocide," said Christine Molle, director of the American Indian Council Employment and Training Center, according to the Associated Press.
