N.D. tribes protest education cut

Tribes in North Dakota passed a resolution calling on the state to restore an Indian education post.

The education programs director position was cut from the Department of Public Instruction due to budget shortfalls. The tribes want it restored to combat high dropout rates and poor academic performance of Indian students.
