A Nebraska state lawmaker introduced a bill on Tuesday to ban the sale of liquor in a town near a Sioux reservation.

The bill doesn't mention Whiteclay, the town, by name but it applies only to unincorporated villages within five miles of reservations where alcohol is banned. Liquor is prohibited on the Pine Ridge Reservation, which is about 200 feet from the town.
