WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2003 The fiscal year 2004 budget includes $58 million for the Animas-La Plata Project. The project seeks to settle the water rights of two Ute tribes and provide water for non-Indian users in Colorado and Arizona. The Navajo Nation also benefits. The 2003 budget includes $33 million but the money hasn't been finalized yet. The total project cost is $343 million. Get the Story:
