Calif. casinos not required to disclose payout

Unlike gaming operations in states across the nation, tribes in California aren't required to disclose the "payout" of their casino machines.

The payout is defined as the percentage of a dollar a slot machine or other game will return. Tribes say the information is proprietary but on par with Las Vegas casinos.
