MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2003

The Confederated Umatilla Tribes of Oregon will make 1,500 pouches for the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Commemorative Coin.

The pouches will be made with deer buckskin, cowrie shells and beads. The U.S. Mint has commissioned several tribes to pouches in their own styles.
