The Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana is working with the Bureau of Indian Affairs to clean up its police department.

The tribal council last month fired the police chief, two investigators and the tribal prosecutor. The action came after a BIA report into allegations of police brutality and other complaints.

The tribe has since appointed a temporary police chief and prosecutor.
