Mister Rogers dies of cancer at age 74

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2003 Fred Rogers of the PBS children's show "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" died of cancer early today. He was 74. Rogers hosted the popular show from 1968 to 2000. He had been diagnosed with stomach cancer last year. Get the Story:
