Montana's tribes could benefit if the state approves an expansion of gaming.

Lawmakers are considering allowing full Vegas-style gaming in a special entertainment district. If that happens, the state Department of Justice says tribes can demand the right to have Class III facilities.

Currently, five tribes have compacts with the state that allow them to offer certain Class III games.
