Protesters want cop who shot Native man charged

A police officer who shot a Lakota man to death in Rapid City, South Dakota, has been cleared of wrongdoing.

Lucas Ghost Bear was killed last Sunday by officer Marc Black. According to a previously unpublicized report released on March 14, Black was within the law to shoot Ghost Bear, who was reportedly intoxicated and brandished a knife.

A reported 150 protesters called for the prosecution of Black, who returned to work after a three days of administrative leave.
