A new organization called Society for the Advancement of Native Interests-Today (SANI-T) is working to improve race relations in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The non-profit was formed last fall by Indian and non-Indian residents of the city. Volunteers work with clients to resolve race and discrimination issues. The group has worked on problems with local businesses, health care clinics, schools, government offices and real estate offices, according to The Rapid City Journal.
