Reservation drug ring allegedly employed children

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2003 Twenty people have been arrested on a federal indictment in Montana that alleges children were used to sell methamphetamine and marijuana and that the drugs were sold to children on the Fort Peck Reservation. The group is alleged to have sold drugs within 1,000 feet of schools and near housing complexes on the reservation. All have been charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school or federal housing project, and some face related charges including firearms violations, The Billings Gazette reported.
