Southern Ute Tribe starts environmental unit

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2003 The Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado has started an environmental compliance department to ensure tribal projects comply with tribal, local and federal regulations. The unit will oversee hundreds of tribal permits and have a staff for air quality, water quality and health and safety. The tribe's projects are located in a variety of jurisdictions. Get the Story:
