Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin are going to file a state lawsuit against Democrat Governor Jim Doyle to oppose a new tribal gaming compact.

The lawmakers also want the state Supreme Court to prevent Doyle from negotiating any new casino deals. They contend that Doyle has overstepped his boundaries by approving pacts that have open-ended terms.
