Is a water park in the future of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut? A 54-story hotel? A convention center? An arena?

These are just some of the rumors bandied about in response to the tribe's $99 million expansion announced on Tuesday. Analysts and local officials say they expect more to come. Pequot chairman Michael J. Thomas says future developments are likely.

Of the ideas, the Pequot Island water park is definitely attractive, said a former casino executive who now works for the Seneca Nation of New York.
