David A. Swanson: "Because of Gov. Janet Napolitano's bullying tactics against the chairman of the Arizona State Board on Geographic and Historic Names, it now appears that renaming Squaw Peak has nothing to do with Pfc. Lori Piestewa and everything to do with an opportunity for the politically correct minority to right a supposed wrong."

John Zeller: "Why not rename the parkway "Arizona Veterans Parkway," thus honoring all Arizona veterans?"

S. Robertson: "I am grateful for the sacrifice made by Pfc. Lori Piestewa, but I am willing to wait another 20 or 30 years for McCain Mountain."
