Panel releases report on Missouri River protection

THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2003 The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, an independent federal agency, on Wednesday issued a status report on the Missouri River. The report reviews efforts by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It makes recommendations to the Corps on how to protect heritage resources, including sacred sites and Indian ancestral remains. Specific to Indian interests, the ACHP said the Corps should:
