MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2003 The police department on the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana is being hailed as a model for Indian Country. The department works cooperatively with other jurisdictions to avoid some of the problems that are unique to reservations. With cross-deputization, manpower has grown from four to 66.
