Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle (D) signed new gaming compacts with seven tribes on Friday.

Under the deals, the tribes are required to share more of their revenues with the state. In exchange, the tribe can offer new Class III games. Also, the compacts lack a expiration date.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs has to review the compacts and make a decision with 45 days. Secretary of Interior Gale Norton neither approved nor disapproved of a similar one the state signed with the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe.

Republicans in the state don't agree with the new compacts and have filed suit against them.
