Man sentenced to prison for stalking Miss S.D.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2003 A state judge in South Dakota sentenced a man to one year in prison for stalking Miss South Dakota Vanessa Shortbull, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Robert Patrone, 47, alleged met Shortbull shortly after she was crowned last summer and began to stalk her. He has been in custody for nearly a year so only has 85 days left to serve. Get the Story:
