The backers of a nuclear waste facility on the Skull Valley Goshute Reservation in Utah filed legal papers to support a scaled-back project.

Private Fuel Storage (PFS) wants to temporarily limit the amount of waste it stores in order to address concerns raised by the U.S. Atomic Safety and Licensing Board. The board says there is a "credible" threat of an airplane crash from a nearby military base.
