N.Y. officials asked to stop Shinnecock casino

New York Governor George Pataki and state attorney general Eliot Spitzer are being asked to stop a proposed Shinnecock Nation casino.

The tribe is state recognized and has applied for federal recognition. According to reports in The Southampton Press, the tribe is working with Oklahoma developer Ivy Ong, who has worked with other tribes on gaming projects.
