The Indian trust fund case could be over "soon" now that a federal judge is holding a trial about an historical accounting, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader says in an editorial.

The paper praises U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth for accepting the testimony of Paul Homan, the former special trustee. "Lamberth ruled that Homan was just fine as an expert witness. That's a good sign," the paper says. "Maybe this soon will be over."

The trial, underway in Washington, D.C., enters is fifth day today. It is expected to last at least a month.
